Ronnie Brown lands with Philadelphia Eagles, too

The Philadelphia Eagles have made several big-name moves during the recent NFL free-agent frenzy, and Tuesday brought the latest. The team announced it has agreed to terms with running back Ronnie Brown on a one-year deal.
Brown, who will turn 30 in December, has spent his previous six seasons with the Miami Dolphins since being drafted second overall in 2005. He went to a Pro Bowl in '08, but injuries have always limited him to the point where he has only one career 1,000-yard rushing season.
Brown and Ricky Williams were the headliners in Miami's rushing committee last season, but as both were aging unrestricted free agents, the team has moved on with rookie Daniel Thomas and former Saint Reggie Bush as its new 1-2 punch.
Brown adds to a backfield that includes rising star LeSean McCoy, a similar versatile player with good receiving skills. Both Brown and McCoy, along with quarterback Michael Vick, give them direct-snap options in Andy Reid's version of the Wildcat offense — with which Brown excelled in Miami.
